Cylindrical Brush-Dry Compound: This is a cylindrical brush cleaner with two rotating brushes. It is a small machine designed for small areas and uses a dry compound	� Causes pile distortion and flaring � Incurs less cleaning than other methods � Cleans surface only
Cylindrical Brush-Dry Foam: One type has a cylindrical brush which scrubs and picks up the foam generated by the machine in one pass. Another type does not pick up foam and depends on a follow-up wet pick-up, tank type vac,	� Causes pile distortion and flaring of tufts � Built-in vacuum removes shampoo and dirt � Other type requires follow-up with vacuum � Cleans surface only
Yarn Pad Method: A solution is sprayed on the carpet and the yarn pad. The wet yarn pad under a rotary floor machine picks up visible surface soil. Pad is reversed or changed when soiled.	� Causes some pile distortion and flaring � Permits almost immediate traffic flow � Excellent for spot cleaning of traffic lanes � Does not remove shampoo or soil � Cleans surface only
Rotary Brush � Wet Shampoo: A rotary brush cleaner using wet shampoo. Accessories including solution tank and vacuum are also employed.	� Causes pile distortion and flaring of tufts � Uniform cleaning � Does not remove all of the shampoo and soil � Cleans surface only � Follow with or alternate with hot water extraction
Hot Water Extraction: The extraction system is based on injection of a jet of hot water containing detergents at a prescribed rate and immediate extraction by a vacuum system.	� Excellent deep down cleaning � Does not cause pile distortion or flaring � Built-in vacuum removes soil � No residue of shampoo to attract more dirt � Excellent pile restoration � Heavily soiled areas should be shampooed first
Rotary Shampoo and Hot Water Extractor: A rotary brush action using wet shampoo followed by extractor system for maximum cleaning.	� Best cleaning combination � Shampoo provides uniform cleaning and suspends soil.
