Chewing Gum |
Freeze with gum removal spray, chip away with bone scraper or dull
knife blade. |

Crayons, beeswax, candle wax |
First remove excess with dull knife blade. Use medium-hot iron
over absorbent cloth. Repeat, if necessary. |

Burns, surface burns, deep burns |
Remove ashes with brush or steel wool. Apply glue and add
carpet tufts from out-of-the-way area and allow to dry |

Permanent inks, rust |
Apply 1:1 white vinegar-water solution, absorb with cloth.
Rinse and dry. |

Wicking yellow, brown discoloration |
Apply 1:1 white vinegar-water solution, absorb with cloth.
Rinse and dry. |

Unknown stains |
Use solvent cleaner as in oil-based (above). If necessary,
follow with shampoo solution as in staining soils (above). |

extractor solution (when recommended); solvent cleaner;
chewing gum remover.
SHAMPOOS AND CLEANERS: Carpet shampoo, soil retardant,
extractor detergent, carpet deodorant.
EQUIPMENT: Floor machine w/solution tank and fountain brush;
hot water extractor. |
